Cerakote Ceramic Clears are the strongest clear coats on the market, and Cerakote High Gloss Ceramic Clear MC-160 leads the industry in hardness, chemical resistance, wear performance, and UV stability. As a high-gloss, air-cured, ceramic clear coating, MC-160 can be used as a top coat over several materials such as metals, paints, composites, plastics, hydrographics, and PVD.
The coating excels in outdoor applications, with a color stability up to 300°F, and a 100% inorganic formulation that is completely UV stable, ensuring it will not yellow or haze. The product is easy to apply, VOC-compliant, and can be sprayed in all 50 states. It dries to a tack-free finish in 30-45 minutes and fully cures after 5 days.
One notable feature is that this product does not require a catalyst, but it does require the use of a 325 Mesh Strainer (SE-277) during application. Additionally, it is important to avoid storing the product in direct sunlight.
